Another winter has passed and I am more than pleased, since I was able to enjoy a week in the French Alps and Les 3 Vallees. This is the world's biggest winter sports resort with around 600kms of slopes and 4 snow parks. In terms of the actual slopes there is a bit of everything- 33 black routes, 125 red, 129 blue and 43 green. The ski conditions were excellent, despite the slightly warmer temperatures. More importantly, I made a lot of new friends and together we created and shared a lot of fun memories, as well as sandwiches.
The sandwich reference is a bit of an internal joke, as this was what we were having for breakfast most of the time, and lunch. There were different types of sandwiches, but I must admit that our dinners were my favourite part from a culinary point of view!
This year we stayed at Orelle, which wasn’t as good as my 2016 experience in Les Menuires. Nevertheless, this will remain as one of my recent top holidays. Orelle is located slightly further from the actual slopes as the lift cabin takes around 30mins.
I managed to experience La Tyrolienne, which at 3230m above sea level is the world's highest zip-line and an experience that will pump your adrenaline high as you glide over over 1300 m. In less than 2 minutes you will have the joy of soaking the breathtaking surroundings.
Again like last year, I enjoyed a lot of partying at La Folie Douce. The Sweet madness is the place to be!
You can see some moments from our Les Trois Vallees 2017 below. Enjoy!
