Cruise to Paxos and Antipaxos

During our Corfu visit we had the opportunity to take a cruise ship around the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. The price was 35 euro per person and the cruise took a full day from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. On the boat we met,  Vranakis Ioannis a talanted  photographer who took some amazing photos of us. He can also print your photos and even get them on a key ring or a fridge magnet for you. We are glad to have met him on the boat of Ionian cruises , big thanks for his photos and his agency VIP photography that brough this post to life.

As we sailed away from the port of Kerkyra we went to our first stop in the village of Lakka, Paxos. The trip took about 90 minutes, and we were able to soak our eyes in breathtaking views and a lot of deep breaths were taken in the process too. Also not to mention that on a sunny summer day you tan really nicely and especially so when on a boat.

We spent some time in Lakka before the cruise headed to our next stop- the blue caves. The boat stopped there for about 10-15 minutes, so we were able to fully appreciate the view and take some great snaps. Very much like the blue caves of Zante the water there was incredibly blue as the name suggests. The surrounding rocky landspace added a special touch to the whole ambience.

With more on our schedule, we sailed to our next stop, the island of Antipaxos. The boat reached a beach called Voutoumi. Again,  beautiful landscapes and plenty of deep breaths. Our stay there was for about one hour, but it really is difficult to get enough of the turquoise clear water.

It was passing 2 PM and we were getting fairly hungry, which was good timing as we headed to our next stop where we found a nice tavern in the village of Gaios, back on the island of Paxos. We spent about 2 hours there and had some great food. We were able to take a quick tour of the village and visit some gift shops as well as cool ourselves down with a few scoops of ice cream.

You know what they say, "Time flies when you're having fun!" and all of a sudden it was time to head back to Kerkyra.

An amazing day had passed, a lot of memories were captures and all these pictures will remind us of the great time we had for many years to come. The islands of Paxos and Antipaxos were able to offer some of the best beaches and crystal clear water I have ever seen and dived into. Glad we took this cruise!
